BIOGRAPHY

The Ivey Ringers are thirteen dedicated high school and middle school students, many of whom have been ringing since they were in elementary school.  The ensemble, which has been active for over thirty years, is based in Charlotte, NC at First Presbyterian Church.  Since its inception, the group has traveled internationally to Australia, Russia, Puerto Rico, Canada, Switzerland, England, Germany, France and Ireland, and has taken several tours throughout the United States.  The group has also had the honor of performing with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra.

Under the direction of Trevor Cook, the group has expanded both its octave range and scope of musical expression.  Performing on 6 octaves of handbells and hand chimes, the ensemble creates a rich pallet of sound and a visually stunning presentation. Previous Ivey directors include notable conductors Robert Ivey, Rebecca Puster, and Timothy Waugh.
